Attorney Jessica Skowronek received her juris doctor from Western New England University School of Law in 2016. During her time there, she interned with both the Public Defender’s Office in Rockville, CT and the Committee for Public Counsel Services in Northampton, MA. She was licensed to practice in Connecticut in 2016 and in the District Court of Connecticut in 2021. She began her legal career working in the immigration assistance unit for a non-profit organization in Worcester, MA. During her time there she assisted clients in the filing of family-based petitions, citizenship applications, asylum claims and other humanitarian relief. 

She also briefly worked for the Public Defender’s Office in New Britain, CT and joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in 2017. She represents clients throughout all stages of the criminal process from pretrial up to the appeals process. She understands that going through the criminal justice system has such a substantial impact on a person’s life, regardless of what the outcome is, and firmly believes it is imperative that individuals have not only an advocate who is competent, but one who is both empathetic and realistic to best serve their needs.
