Meet Corey Berry

Supervising Attorney

Attorney Corey Berry received her juris doctor from Western New England University School of Law in 2015 and was licensed to practice law in 2016. She was inspired to get her law degree after interning at Connecticut Legal Aid in New Britain, Connecticut. Connecting with people and learning their stories made her want to find a way to help in any way she could. She began her legal career working in family and immigration law, serving indigent clients for Connecticut Legal Aid. She assisted with custody, divorce, and modification agreements, as well as VAWA petitions for people dealing with domestic violence.

She then joined the Law Offices of Pat Brown in 2018 and started her path in criminal defense. She worked on habeas petitions, appeals, and part B criminal matters, which included misdemeanors and low-level felonies. Her time with the firm led her to an opportunity to work for the Public Defender’s Office in New Britain. She spent 5 ½ years defending thousands of clients and receiving notable results. Her choice to rejoin the Law Offices of Pat Brown in 2026 was in appreciation for Pat’s expertise, work ethic, and how he values his staff. She now handles part A & B criminal matters, post-conviction hearings, and federal criminal matters. Her hope is to continue to connect with people, learn their stories, and find ways to help them in any way she can.
